Old corrugated roof sheets stripped and disposed of

Timber frame built and roof boarded

This was actually an enjoyable project to carry out even if it was bloody hard work
We firstly had to strip the entire roof back to the garage shell so we could install concrete lintels above the window and door to build up the front and side brickwork to gain extra head room inside the garage. We then constructed a totally new timber framed roof and boarded it out with ¾ inch OSB boards then cladding the exposed brick upstand and the join with next doors garage with ¼ inch boards so the GRP resin would bond correctly.
The next stage was to apply new UPVC fascias and guttering. We then applied the edge trims to the roof and then sealed all the joints trims and upstand. The roof was then fibreglassed and top gel coat applied and when cured new copping stones were applied to brickwork.
